Typical Scenario

A typical web development scenario with me would involve consulting with the client to understand their needs, then helping them register a domain name and hosting service in their name, and providing log-in details to the control panels. This allows me to associate the domain name with a specific server and deploy the platform (Joomla CMS) and install the Yootheme template. This process usually takes 1-3 days, depending on the domain propagation time on the Internet.

At this stage, the website is live and filled with dummy content that comes with the template, and the client has access to the administrator panel. Next, I work on customizing the website using text and multimedia content provided by the client or licensed stock multimedia. Once the presentation layer is completed, I work with custom components to add functionality (usually by installing project-specific extensions from the Joomla Extensions Directory). Once functionality is tested, there's usually a need for final tuning and polishing of the website. Customization time depends on the project, and some clients prefer to add their own products to e-commerce components, while others need my help with importing massive stock from spreadsheets or other sources. Once the final presentation and handover are done, I continue to work with the client on analytics, marketing, and regular updates.
